Best Glide Aviation Survival Equipment was founded in 2002 and was conceived during a flight in a single engine Cessna while flying from Houston, Texas to Fairbanks, Alaska.  In preparation for this flight, the founders determined that there was no one convenient place to acquire the selection of quality aviation survival equipment required by US and Canadian Federal Aviation Authorities for a flight traversing the sparsely populated territory along the route. 

It was out of necessity that Best Glide ASE was born.  Since then, Best Glide has grown larger in scope than the founders had predicted.  Best Glide ASE now sells an ever expanding inventory of Survival Equipment to individuals, corporations, organizations and governments alike. 

We are proud that our list of customers includes the US Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.  We are also honored to serve major corporations, rescue organizations, missionary organizations, friendly foreign governments, airlines, numerous flight organizations and individuals across the globe.

In January 2005, an agreement was made between Best Glide A.S.E. (USA) and BCB International (UK) to make their products more accessible to the US market.

BCB is known for producing NATO Approved, Government Approved, Military Specification, Survival, Police and Military Items.  Because of their quality, many have attempted to copy their products.  However, no copy has even approached the quality of the original items such as the NATO Wire Saw, NATO Combat Survival Tin, NATO Survival Matches and the NATO Mayday Signal Mirror.
